- Dynamic microhardness measurements (minimum layer thickness: 1 μm)
- Relative hardness measurements on organic materials
- Adhesion strength measurements on thick layers in the μm range: pull-off and tear-off measurements
- Tensile strength measurements on thin layers in the 0.01 - 0.1 μm range: scratch test
- 3D microscopy up to 1000x resolution
- Geometrically calibrated measurement of small objects up to 2 μm
- Counting and size distribution of small objects
